James Loyd, originally from Columbia, Missouri, served in the United States Navy as an aviation mechanic for five years, including with VFA-25 out of Lemoore, California, after enlisting at 19. After his military service, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security and became a certified firearms instructor through the NRA, USCCA, and DOJ. A dedicated family man and firearms enthusiast, James and his wife, Maria, are excited to put down roots in Visalia and fulfill their long-time dream of building a life in this thriving community.

​Maria Isabel Diaz, a Selma, California native, attended Fresno City College before enlisting in the United States Navy. She served for five years as a Logistics Specialist, first stationed at NAWS China Lake and later with VAQ-142, deploying aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt. Following her military service, she continued her education at Columbia College, where she is nearing completion of her bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing. Like her husband, James, Maria is NRA, USCCA, and DOJ certified. A dedicated mother, wife, and veteran, she is committed to giving back to her community by promoting education and responsible firearm ownership.
